The Visitor passes along the Bale Agung, a traditional bridge above fish pond to the entrance of Pendopo Agung, all inspired by an ancient ceremonial house in the village of Buyung Gede. The magnificent roof is supported by giant timber columns culled from the forests of Irian jaya and topped with carved faces of the mythological Boma a character from Bali's legendary past.

The lobby makes a fitting setting for traditional Balinese dance performance and a gallery featuring part of Setjadibrata's vast collection of historic Indonesian artwork, antiquities and ethnographic artifacts. An antique year old bendi (cart) drawn by a beautiful white rose awaits - to take guests through the breathtaking padi fields of Canggu on a sunset ride.

The hotel lobby has a magnificent view of lush tropical gardens and the quiet beach beyond. Sunset time is also tea time when guests site bay the lobby chatting with other guests as the sun sink below the clouds. Tea is served with traditional Balinese and Javanese cakes in a timeless atmosphere.

Puri Le Mayeur

Honeymoon guest are ushered Puri Le Meyeur, the romantic honeymoon suite that was created as a stunning tribute to the romance of Belgian Painter Le Meyeur and his beautiful muse Ni Polok.

This spacious single story villa hovers above a lotus pond overlooking the sea. The romantic interior is filled with replicas of Balinese furniture from Le Mayeur's Sanur residence and some of the memorabilia of the artist. Keepsake photographs and the dominant red color lit with gold carvings reflect the warm love of every honeymoon couple, and the eternal memories of Le Mayeur and Ni Polok's love.

Walter Spies

Walter spies an artist who spent much of his life educating  artists in Yogyakarta and later, in Bali found fame in Indonesia, his evocative paintings portraying an era and natural beauty that his almost disappered. Tribute was paid to this great artist by building him a unique and beautiful pavilion in   Djojodipuroeran (Yogya) in 1924,  a time when spies was still actively teaching'young musician and painters in Yogyakarata.

The colonial style architecture of the Walter Spies Pavilion is reminiscent of his days in Yogya. Memorabilia from his days there are beautifully displayed within the pavilion which features a unique sunken bathroom. A magical ambience is created by the superb antiwue stained glass windows that decorate both the main pavilion and the  bathhouse. A fitting tribute to his great artist.

Imperial by Balinese Legend

Element of Balinese design are used to great effect in the guest rooms. Old doors from a village house here, a painting there, or perhaps a superb piece of furniture to give a focus to the room.

The Rejang suite on the upper floors have attractive timber interior with windows opening out on the lush padi fields and the sea beyond. A relaxation area comes with a giant tub and massage bed. The Lavish garden Dedari Suites on the lower level are complemented by private plunge pools and big bath tubs crafted by local artisans.
